Silverfin™ Group, Inc. provides the solution for the Asian carp that is threatening the aquatic eco-system of the entire Mississippi River Basin. By promoting commercial harvest of Asian carp, we will reduce their population to minimize their threat so they can coexist with native species, minimize water sports accidents caused by jumping carp, create much needed jobs, revitalize commercial fisheries, stimulate local economies, and provide a clean and healthy fish product for consumers.
This video, ‘Commercial and Recreational Fisheries at Risk by Asian Carp,’ features Rusty fishing for Asian carp in Louisiana. He speaks about how prevalent Asian Carp are in Louisiana waterways, the impact on both recreation and commercial fisheries, and the amount of waste and livelihoods lost that occurs due to the fact that there is not a current market for these fish.
